Overview
TAS Risk Solution offers full medical examinations for employees working in hazardous or high-risk environments. These assessments ensure workers are fit for duty and meet legal and safety requirements.
What’s Included:
- Conducted by an Occupational Medical Practitioner (OMP) or Occupational Health Nurse (OHN)
- Tests include: screening, spirometry, physical exam, medical history, blood pressure, urine analysis, vision test, and optional drug tests and x-rays
- A valid fitness certificate is issued and securely stored
Why It’s Important:
- Confirms employees are physically and medically fit for specific job roles
- Helps prevent workplace incidents and ensures legal compliance (e.g., Annexure 3 for construction)
- Protects employers in case of health-related disputes or claims
When Exams Are Required:
- Entry Medical: Before starting high-risk work
- Annual Monitoring: To ensure ongoing fitness
- Exit Medical: Upon completion of work or leaving the company
